80-year-old anti-war activist Margaretta D'Arcy has been returned to jail, after she was taken into custody at Galway Garda Station this morning.
Ms. D'Arcy was given a two-week prison sentence at Ennis District Court last month, after being found guilty of charges arising out of a protest on the runway of Shannon Airport in September of last year.

This came into effect after she refused to sign a bond to stay away from unauthorized zones at Shannon and she has now been brought to Limerick Prison after making herself available for arrest.
