A Shannon man who discovered what appears to be a massive water leak on his property is encouraging others to check their meters.
Nearly 1.6 million litres of water have flowed through the meter at Pat Madden's house in Cul na Grenie since it was installed in November.

Today, engineers have visited his home and Pat now believes that the leak in question is located between the meter and his house.
He told Clare FM's Morning Focus that he now wants to know where that water has been going, while he's also urging others to use their meters and insure they aren't facing a similar problem.
