The Mayor of Clare County Council says none of his constituents have raised concerns over his travelling to the St Patrick's day Parade in New York with him.

The event has been mired in controversy over its exclusion of LGBT groups.
Joe Arkins along with a number of other councillors will represent the banner at the parade.
Clare will be given particular prominence to mark the 125th anniversary of the County Clare Patriotic, Benevolent and Social Association of New York.
Cllr Arkins says the benefits for the county must come first.
