Pat McDonagh says he’s “very happy” to have secured planning permission for his planned service station on the outskirts of Ennis.
However, he’s also accepted that further planning challenges against the project are possible.
The planned service station, near to Ennis and adjacent to Junction 12 of the M18 motorway, was previously given the go-ahead by Clare County Council, only to be overturned by An Bord Pleanala.

Supermac’s is planning to invest over ten million euro into the project, and despite fears that it will draw business out of Ennis Town Centre, Pat McDonagh believes it will be good for the town and all of Clare.
