Irish man Stephen McFaul is expected to return home to Ireland today after escaping from Islamist terrorists in Algeria.
The 36 year old from Belfast – but who is an Irish citizen – was freed yesterday evening.

Meanwhile there are unconfirmed reports that more British hostages – including a Northern Irish man – have been killed in a bungled rescue attempt by the Algerian military.
