Deputy Michael McNamara will be selected by local Labour delegates to run for the party in the upcmoing general election.
The East Clare representative, who was elected to the Dáil for the first time in 2011, is the only candidate going forward for nomination at Clare's Labour Party Convention.

The meeting will be chaired by Education Minister Jan O'Sullivan and takes place at the West County Hotel in Ennis next Sunday, October 11th.
