The 11 McSweeney pharmacies employ 95 people around the country including in Ennis but are currently insolvent with debts of over 17 million euro.
They’re under court protection but they want that extended in the face of opposition from AIB which has sought detailed information about the companies’ business plan.
An independent accountant has told the court the pharmacies may survive if there’s investment and costs are reduced.
