Public consultation is getting underway on plans for a permanent lifeboat station for Lough Derg.
Architects and planners involved behind the proposal for a permanent station will address a public meeting in Dromineer on the Tipperary side of the lake tonight.

The Lough Derg RNLI Lifeboat Station celebrated its tenth birthday in May.
In that decade volunteer crews have rescued 340 people and saved three lives.
Tonight's meeting takes place at the Lough Derg Yacht Club from 7 o'clock.
