Clare has been put on alert ahead of expected heavy rainfall this weekend.
Met Eireann has issued its lowest level Status Yellow Weather warning for Southern and Western coastal counties, with 60 to 90 mm of rain forecast from today through to Sunday.

The warning is targeted at coastal and mountainous areas in particular, and forecasters say there will be intense rainfall at times over short periods.
