A member of the MidWest Hospital campaign says they’re once again prepared to take to the streets to lobby the government to take action to address the overcrowding crisis at the region’s main hospital.
Yesterday, the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation recorded a record-breaking 95 people on trolleys at University Hospital Limerick.
This tops the previous peak of 92 patients waiting for a bed at the Dooradoyle facility, which was recorded on January 6th 2020.

Ennistymon’s Marie McMahon, whose husband died on a trolley in 2018, insists the campaign group won’t take this lying down.
