The Chairman of the Mid West Jobs Taskforce says he would like to see some action from the Government on the recommendations submitted last June.
The taskforce was appointed to address the unemployment problem in Clare and Limerick following Dell’s decision to reduce it’s workforce by 2,000.
In their interim report presented to the Tanaiste four months ago, they warned unemployment could reach 55,000 in the Mid West by the end of next year, and called for the Government to tackle costs in Ireland, and improve back to education allowances and schemes.
