Millions of Gallons of Water to be Saved through New Infrastructure

The Mayor of Ennis says a new infrastructure project for the town will save almost half a million gallons of water each day. 

Irish Water and Clare County Council are to be begin 3.7 million euro of works in the coming weeks.

The works will see 17 kilometers of approximately 220 kilometers of watermains replaced over the next 18 months. 

The state utility says it is focused on minimising disruption for residents and buisness people over the course of the works. 

Fine Gael Cllr Johnny Flynn says the development will allow Ennis grow.
