The Public Expenditure Minister is urging the ASTI not to take industrial action.
The secondary teachers union has rejected the Haddington Road pay deal – and announced that its members will undertake limited industrial action from October 2nd.

But Brendan Howlin says the public sector pay deal is set in stone and can’t be revisited.
He says the adjustments are essential – and the ASTI must reconsider its action.
