Minister moves to allay fears over Shannon Maintenance Jobs

The Transport Minister says Aer Lingus is in commercial talks to secure a deal – which could actually increase maintenance jobs at Shannon Airport.

Leo Varadkar’s comments come amid fears for the future of 70 employees at Shannon Airport and reports that the former state airline could move its maintenance operations to Dublin.

Its up for discussion by board members of Aer Lingus  on Friday

However Minister Leo Varadkar says he has spoken to the Airline’s Chairman – and hopes there will be a positive outcome to negotiations.
