The Transport and Tourism Minister says he expects thousands of new jobs to be created by keeping the hospitality VAT rate at 9%.
However, Paschal Donohoe is warning pubs and restaurants need to pass savings onto their customers if they want the rate to be maintained in the future.

The Minister says the hospitality sector must be praised for translating the savings made from the reduced tax so far into new jobs.
In Clare, the Restaurants Association has said 547 new positions were created because of the VAT reduction.
