The Minister for Health has received a mixed response from nurses at the INMO’s annual conference in Killarney.
In his address to around 360 nurses and midwives, James Reilly told delegates that Ireland is no longer in control of its own finances.

He said that the health budget is particularly under the Troika’s spotlight, as the second biggest spending department.
Minister Reilly also said he believes that the relationship between nurses and the Department of Health is much improved – to some derision:
