The Minister of state for Tourism and sport Michael Ring will be in Shannon tonight to present awards to the Shannon regional winners from this years tidy towns competition.
The county enjoyed one of its most successful ever years in the competition as three Clare entrants were given gold medals – Ballynacally, Kilrush and Ennis, which was also given the county award
Mountshannon was given a silver medal while an endeavour awards for improvement was given to Bridgetown.
