More reports of Ebola in Europe

A further three people have been put under observation for ebola in Madrid, bringing the total number of people quarantined there to 16. 

The World Health Organisation says cases in West Africa are doubling every three to four weeks – and over 4-thousand people have died.

Screening for the virus has begun at JFK airport in New York today. 

Four more airports in the United States, plus Heathrow and Gatwick airports in Britain will introduce similar procedures next week. 

The stepped-up screening programme at New York's Kennedy International Airport involves staff checking the temperatures of travellers arriving from West Africa.
