Motorists in Clare are being urged to drive with care this morning following low temperatures overnight.
A low level yellow weather alert is in place for the entire country, with Met Éireann forecasting temperatures as low as minus five degrees in some places.
The alert remains in place until 10 o’clock this morning.

A separate snow and ice warning is in place for Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, Leitrim, East Cork, Tipperary and Waterford.
