Bogland in West Clare looks set to be transformed into a wildlife sanctuary that could attract visitors to the area.
A pre-feasability study was commissioned by the Council’s West Clare Municipal District, which highlighted the potential for community, tourism and conservation benefits that could come at Tullaher Lough and Bog, located between Kilkee, Moyasta and Doonbeg.
It’s believed that the site may have been purchased for similar development by the Irish Peatland Conservation Council.
