A multi million euro expansion of Milford Hospice has been announced.
8.5 million euro is to be spent on a new 34-bed specialist in-patient palliative care unit, while the Centre's not-for-profit Nursing Home facility will be expanded to include an extra 21 beds.

A quarter of patients at Milford Hospice last year, over 350 people, came from Co. Clare while its Hospice at Home team has supported a further 339 people in the Clare community.
3.4 million euro of funding for the new project will come from the proceeds of the 2012 JP McManus Pro-Am which was held in Adare.
