A murder investigation has been launched in Co. Killkenny, following the death of a 51 year old woman.
Siobhán Stapelton was found with serious injuries in the yard of her family home, Glebe Lodge in Kilfane near, Thomastown just before 2 o’clock on Friday.

She was rushed by ambulance to St Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny, but died from her injuries while being transferred from there to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.
Following the post mortem results, Gardai launched a murder investigation.
