The father of a Kilrush man accused of murdering his neighbour has told his trial that his son called him to tell him what he’d done.
Brendan O’Sullivan Senior told the jury that his 25 year old son rang him on July 29th last saying "I killed him in the garden", –
When asked at the scene who he had shot – his son replied "turn around" at which point he saw Leslie Kenny lying at the bottom of the garden.
O’Gorman street Residents gave evidence of hearing shouting and bad language on the street and recalled hearing O’Sullivan shouting at Mr Kenny "come down here and we’ll talk about it."
Senior prosecuting counsel, Michael Durack said the jury will hear evidence that a double-barreled shot gun was used on Mr Kenny, – two shots were fired, the gun was reloaded, and two more shots were fired proving the Brendan O’Sullivan is guilty of murder – the accused has pleaded Not Guilty
