Musicians Descend On Miltown Malbay For Annual Willie Clancy Festival

A festival celebrating one of the most renowned musicians in this county’s history is in full swing in West Clare this week.

People are travelling from far and wide to Miltown Malbay for the annual Willie Clancy week, which will see céilís and sessions take place throughout the town until Sunday.

Clancy was a prolific uilleann pipes player and has a music school named in his honour in his native town – which hosts the festival.
