Chairman of the National Asset Management Agency Frank Daly is unveiling this plan at an event in Galway this morning.

The 2 billion euro being invested would be targeted towards completing construction work that’s already in progress and developing greenfield sites between now and 2016.

It’s envisaged that the work would cover supply shortgages in some areas of the market that could arise in the future.

Nama hopes the programme they’re putting forward could get 25 thousand people working in construction, and generate a further 10 thousand jobs in the wider economy.
