The National Welly- Throwing Champion of Ireland – now has a new title to his name – after seeing off his fellow compeditors at the second annual chirstmas tree throwing event in Ennis.
Limerick farmer John O’Dea arrived late in the day at Lees Road Sports Complex to throw the 1.5m tree a massive 10.2m to capture the trophy- its only 1.5 metre off the world record.

All funds raised from the event on Saturday went Clare CF.
