The Tánaiste insists the National Broadband Plan will be transformative for counties like Clare.
Contracts were signed for the controversial 3 billion euro plan early this week, with the first homes expected to be connected next year.
Opposition parites have been critical of the plan, with Clare’s Fianna Fáil TD raising concerns that the Granahan McCourt led consortium will withdraw from the process in the future, if there isn’t a significant return from the project.
