Rents in Clare fell by almost 15 percent at the end of last year, compared to the same period in 2008.
However new figures from Daft.ie show that after two years of steady drops the cost of renting rose slightly in January.

The average rent in Clare in the fourth quarter stood at 568 Euro.. down 14.5 per cent on the same three months the previous year, while Limerick experienced a 16 per cent fall, while Galway saw an 11 per cent drop.
