The extent of the fall off in new cars registered in Clare has been revealed.
New figures from the Irish Bulletin of Vehicle and Driver Statistics show a 68% drop in new vehicles registered in the county in 2009.
In Clare, over 73 thousand people are licensed to drive, including almost 7 thousand people who hold learner permits.
