Fianna Fail Councillor Bill Chambers has been elected the new Cathoirleach of Clare County Council.
The Cooraclare man was voted into the role by his fellow councillors at this afternoons AGM, taking over the role from the outgoing James Breen.

Fine Gael Councillor Paul Murphy was chosen as Leas Cathoirleach, with the Clarecastle man succeding party colleague Mary Howard.
