West Clare schools together with Kilrush Tidy towns volunteers are to participate in a new environmental initiative at Poulnasherry Bay
The project is focused on the aquatic and biodiversity resources at the bay which is located on the Shannon Estuary, close to Querrin, Lisdeen and Moyasta.
It will see Clare County Council and the Cork-based Coomhola Salmon Trust host a series of field studies and theory sessions, while distributing a local environmental booklet throughout the community.
The tidy towns volunteers and students from Moyasta NS, Querrin NS, Gaelscoil Uí Choimín, St. Senan’s NS and Kilrush Community College, will carry out catchment studies and project work in the area.
