It’s hoped a jobs boost could be on the way for County Clare following a decision by the EU to grant regional aid to the Mid-West
The decision means that companies locating here can now avail of grant aid from the State, equal to 10% of the value of their investment.
This puts Clare and the wider Mid-West on an equal footing with the South-East of the country, and marks the return of such aid to the region for the first time since 2008.
