Business women in Clare are being encouraged to apply for funding under a new programme set up to support female entrepreneurs living in rural areas.
ACORNS, which is funded under the CEDRA Rural Innovation and Development Fund is aimed at women in rural areas who have recently set up their own business or are in the process of doing so.

The pilot programme, which places no restrictions on the type of business, will begin on the 30th of September.
Ennistymon-based Senator Martin Conway says more funding needs to be geared towards entrpreneurs in rural areas.
