A group of volunteers is hoping to relocated some of the Burren's famous Orchids, before construction on the Gort Tuam Motorway begins.
The Burren ‘Orchid Transplant’ aims to find new limestone homes to some of the flowers before their current location is altered forever.

A section of the Burren will be disrupted as a result of the new roadway – work on which is due to begin within the next six weeks.
They aim to move the Orchids to public lands such as schools so that members of the public can view and learn about them.
Peter Butler is with Conservation Volunteers, Galway, he says it's a once in a lifetime opportunity.
