New Ministerial Line-Up Is Confirmed

The Taoiseach has unveiled his new look Cabinet.

Enda Kenny's removed Jimmy Deenihan and Pat Rabbitte and the departure of Phil Hogan, who is to be nominated as Ireland's new European Commissioner, has allowed him to make two promotions.

Heather Humphries is moves from the backbanches to the Department of Arts and Heritage – while Paschal Donohue moving up to Transport, Tourism and Sport. 

Leo Varadkar's heading to Health – with James Reilly moving to the Department of Children.

Charlie Flanagan is the new Foreign Affairs Minister – with Simon Coveney taking Defence as well as Agriculture.

Richard Bruton remains at the head of the Department of Jobs.

Labour's defeated leadership candidate Alex White is the new Communications Minister – with New Deputy Leader Alan Kelly taking up Environment – and Jan O'Sullivan moving on to Education.

Ged Nash also becomes the super junior in the Department of Jobs with the title Minister for Business and Employment.
