Almost a quarter of tenants are afraid of losing their homes.
Research by co-operative housing provider NABCO finds that figure jumps to 38% in the Dublin rental market.

The survey is the first of its kind and shows that 9 out of 10 people believe new mortgage rules, which will require a 20% deposit, will make it harder for people looking to buy a home.
It also shows that one in three tenants do not have a formal lease.
