It’s hoped road deaths in Clare will become a thing of the past by the end of this decade.
Today sees the launch of the United Nations’ Decade of Action for Road Safety and the RSA along with Clare County Council are setting out their goals to reduce deaths on our local roads to zero by 20-20.
Some 3,500 people are killed in road accidents across the world each day and events are taking place internationally to start a process of stabilising and reducing the forecast level of road traffic fatalities around the world.
