No Irish airspace closure but Scotland flights hit

Some flights from Shannon Cork and Dublin airports have been cancelled this morning because of the Icelandic volcanic ash cloud.

Both Aer Lingus and Ryanair have been forced to cancel services to Scotland until this afternoon.

However in an update the Irish Aviation Authority says  there will be no closures over Irish Airspace with all three airports remaining open but it warns some services may be affected by restrictions imposed by other European service providers.
