Senator David Norris is ahead in the race for the Presidency.
An Irish Times MRBI poll shows Fine Gael candidate Gay Mitchell in 2nd place – with Labour’s Michael D Higgins a close third.

When people were asked who they’d vote for if the election were tomorrow – David Norris was on 25 per cent with Gay Mitchell on 21 per cent and Michael D at 18 per cent.
Independent Sean Gallagher was at 13 per cent and Mary Davis was at 12 per cent.
