A North Clare Community Group has received almost 2000 euro in funding under the Seniors Alert Scheme.
The Kilnaboy Community Development Association is one of 13 organisations nationwide set to receive the grant aid to meet the cost of supplying and installing security equipment for elderly residents.
Welcoming the funding, Minister and local TD Tony Kilkeen says the works will enable older people in the Kilnaboy area to continue to live securely in their homes with independence and peace of mind.
