A father and son have died in a housefire in North Clare.
The fire broke out at a two story house at Knockroe, near Boston, Tubber at around 7.30 this morning, and the two men aged in their sixties and thirties were pronounced dead at the scene.
Fire units from Ennis and Gort attended the scene of the firre at Knockroe – Boston near the Clare- Galway Border this morning but were unable to rescue the men.
The deceased victims are a well known father and son from the area from a large local family but were the only occupants of the house at the time.
Post mortems on the bodies will be carried out at the mid-western regional hospital in Limerick later and the scene has been sealed off for a technical examination.
Its not yet known what casued the fire which is beleived to have started in the downstairs of the house- but it’s understood gardaí are treating the deaths of the father of son as a tragic accident.
