The National Transport Authority has begun the tendering process for nine local bus routes in Clare.
Documents were issued yesterday to interested parties, including Clare Bus, who will be looking to regain the contract to operate the routes, one that’s vital for the company’s future.
The tendering process is getting underway now, even though a planned mediation process to resolve a dispute between Clare Bus and the NTA has yet to begin.

The NTA says the mediation will take a short while to organise, and that both processes can run at the same time, without one affecting the other.
Kilrush Sinn Féin TD Violet Anne Wynne wants further assurances from the NTA on how this can happen.
