The number of patients waiting for a bed at the region’s main hospital is continuing to climb.
62 people are waiting to be admitted at University Hospital Limerick as of this morning, according to the INMO – up from 59 yesterday.
It’s nearly double that of the next busiest facilities, Cork and Mayo University Hospitals, and comes on a day when 285 people are waiting for a bed at hospitals across the country.

In contrast, the HSE’s TrolleyGar statistics show 34 people on trolleys in Dooradoyle.
