The number of people registered as being unemployed in the Midwest has decreased by just over 4 thousand in the past year.
The national rate of unemployment has now fallen to 10 point 5 per cent according to the Central Statistics Office.

The body says in the month of January just over 300 less people signed on in Clare Limerick and North Tipperary than in Decemeber.
