Nurses Fear Overcrowing At UHL Impacting “Hugely” On Spread Of Covid

The INMO’s Midwest Representative claims a myriad of issues need to be addressed to overcome overcrowding at the region’s main hospital.

Visiting restrictions remain in place at University Hospital Limerick following an outbreak of Covid-19 and Mary Fogarty claims that while the cause of the outbreak is unknown, high trolley numbers is impacting “hugely” on the spread of the virus.

The latest figures show there are 25 confirmed cases there and 29 suspected cases, with the UL Hospitals Group confirming that a number of fully vaccinated staff are infected with the virus.
