The community of Clarecastle is preparing to finally celebrate the end of a long battle to get a new national school in the village.
The official opening of the new school building on the main road will take place this evening at 7 o’clock when the official blessing will be conducted by Bishop of Killaloe Dr Willie Walshe

The occasion will also be the launch of the Public Art Project – a collection of commissioned mosaic plants and benches by Mountshannon artist Sadhbh O’Neill
Acting Principle at Clarecastle National School Sharon Brady says that it’s been a long battle to finally upgrade the building.
