An East Clare man is set to have a Rose by his side for the next week.
Pete O’Brien from Ogonelloe has been selected as one of the 32 escorts for this year’s festival in Tralee.
The secondary school teacher who has represented the Banner at underage and adult intercounty hurling level will be accompanying the Donegal Rose to all her public engagements over the coming days.
Meanwhile Laois native Bernard Rochford – who has worked on a dairy farm in New Zealand for the past 2 years, is the official escort for Clare Rose Marie Donnellan
