A man is in a critical condition following an early morning road accident in South-East Clare.
At around 7:00 a.m. this morning, Gardaí at Henry Street in Limerick were alerted to the single vehicle collision which had occured at Clonlara Bridge.
Two men in their mid-twenties were hurt in the crash and were taken to University Hospital Limerick. Both remain there this lunchtime, and the passenger is understood to be in a critical condition.
It’s understood that both men are foreign nationals.
The road remains closed to allow for an ongoing forensic examination of the scene.
Gardaí at Henry Street Garda Station are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to contact them on 061 212 400.
