Visiting restrictions remain in place at the Mid-Western Regional Hospital’s Children’s Unit in Limerick

The HSE says it’s due to an unprecedented number of children with gastric symptoms being admitted to the Paediatric Unit.
Infection control measures are being taken to deal with the and the HSE Midwest is requesting co-operation with temporary visiting arrangements until the situation is resolved.
Each inpatient is allowed just one visitor or parent as arranged with the nursing staff and children are not allowed to visit the paediatric unit
