The Clare County Manager is to seek clarification on the deadline to accept applications for postal votes in the upcoming elections.
It follows an online error on the local authority’s website which stated the closing date was Monday the 18th but when a number of applicants submitted the forms yesterday they were told the deadline was last Friday.

The issue was raised by Ruan Councillor Joe Arkins who’s calling on Clare County Council to now extend that deadline until this evening
